Facetime
Can one use facetime from your iP4 to talk to someone on a PC/Mac? Just wondering if a person can download facetime onto their PC/Mac and then connect with friends who have iP4.

At the moment, no. However, I wouldn't be surprised if apple built it into a future Mac osx release.

I fully expect a future update to iChat that will do facetime calls.

With any luck, that will include a port of iChat for Windows.... surprising that it's taken this long...

I am surprised iChat has not been released at all yet. Thought it would be around with the 3G. Seems like an obvious thing to release for the iPhone in as its Apples own im client. I have never used the feature, or really think its something that useful for me, but I can bet a lot of people would love to be able to use it along with iChat for people who don't have an iPhone.

It would depend on the strength of both wifi connections. If one or both are weak, the image quality will be degraded.... same as happens with iChat.
