OK, now all the threads are talking about people getting phones from the Retentions Depts. of Rogers and Fido. That does me no good.
I'm a Bell dumbphone customer and based on what everyone has been saying online, I want to switch to Rogers.
Anybody have any suggestions for getting an iPhone apart from quitting my job to hang out in front of Rogers stores every morning? I need to get it by Sept 30th as I want the 6 Gig plan.
I see that Rogers has a refer a customer promotion going on now. Was thinking of finding a friend to refer me, and when Rogers contacts me, I'll tell them I'll be happy to be a new customer if they can get me a $@#! iPhone 4. Think that might work like the people having success with Retentions?
Then again, if I can get an iPhone faster through Bell, maybe I should just stick with them. I haven't read much feedback about how Bell customers are doing getting phones. In my visits to multiple stores today, I had a gut feeling I'll be able to get one faster through Bell. But not sure how much negotiating power I'll have with Bell retentions (which I hear, sucks at the best of times) when I can't get an iPhone elsewhere in order to threaten to leave.
