Did anyone happen to catch last week's episode of Modern Family? The premise of the episode is that the husbands birthday falls on the Saturday that the iPad is released. He plans to rise early, wait in line, and be home with his iPad by 10:00 am. Things start to go wrong when his wife offers to let him sleep on his birthday, and says she will get up early and get his ipad. She gets up, but falls asleep again, and by the time she hits the Applestore, the iPad is sold out. The rest of the episode chronicles her quest for an iPad for her hubby's special day.
The show ends with hubby sitting on the couch, holding an iPad close, whispering "I love you". From behind him his wife answers "I love you too", unaware of who he was talking to. Plenty of geek references in this one, and well worth the watch. I'm sure you can catch it online somewhere.
This show is probably one of the best comedies to come along in a while. The line in this episode where his wife tells him that he can probably get one in a few weeks and he says: "That's the worst thing you could say to an early adopter!" was classic!

Unfortunately for us, the story line with the Columbian mom and son is a bit of a stretch; ruins it. The accent is over the top, her outfits have NO top, the kid is a wimp, not believable. The other two-thirds of the show? Wonderful. The episode in the locker room - pressing bums - simply brilliant writing.
