Hey you guys, so ever since Bell and Telus launched their new network, my 3g reception has been dropping during high bandwidth situations, such as tethering and the like. I called Rogers and the person said that the new network is causing interference and all companies are working to fix it. My reception is fine over edge so it makes sense. I have a jailbroken, unlocked iphone 3g in Vancouver. Is anyone else having any issues?

I'm in Calgary on Rogers and I'm seeing random network disconnects. I have my phone locked to the Rogers carrier so it doesn't roam onto the Belus network. The disconnects seem to happen regardless of location.

In all cases I just selected 'Dismiss' in the requestor that pops up telling me I lost connection to my carrier. The moment I do my connection is restored with the same number of bars that it had before the drop. The drops are occurring in places that have worked with no problems prior to the Belus network going 'live' on Nov. 5th, i.e. when they started getting subscribers.

It hasn't happened frequently enough to bother me, but at least I know my suspicion about the possible cause is validated. Thanks for the info...
