NFB releases free iPhone app • Spacing Toronto ? understanding the urban landscape

I know I've read before that there's a lot of people who aren't fans of the NFB, but for those who are this app could be fun.

I downloaded this app last night. It has quickly turned into a favourite. Forget grainy amateur youtube videos of balloon boy, acne teens opening up their new iPhones, iPod touch. Your tax dollars have paid for these films, animations, etc. Have a look. The app is free, all the available NFB content is free.

It is amazing if just for the Oscar-award winning animations over the decades that still hold up strong into the 21st century.

I also spent the morning before work started watching docs and animations. This app should push NFB back into the limelight.

And then found out Watch Documentaries and Animated Films Online - NFB.ca all the same stuff available online on my mac. Plays better than on iPod touch. Wifi a bit wonky with the movie files at times.

Oh, and I don't work for the NFB. Just a fan of their work.

I stumbled upon this app over the weekend. I visit their website from time to time to watch the animation work. It's great to have this available on the iphone

I'm a fairly new iphone owner and this is easily my favorite media app so far. As a proud Canadian I now, finally, have the power to force anyone unfamiliar with Project Grizzly to watch it in it's entirety no matter where I am. And I just downloaded the tim hortons finder app, iphone, you complete me.
