Incoming calls

Help me out... and don't laugh... it's very hard to get a straight answer on this (no surprise) from Rogers or Fido reps.

How do incoming calls work, on Rogers vs. Fido? Are they counted against your airtime total?

It's been a long time since I've considered going under contract again. I wish there were an official, apples to apples, plain English ways to compare terms and conditions of cell phone plans.

See, that was a simple answer.

I swear, I asked the very same question, in the very same simple terms to a Fido rep today. He gave me the impression that incoming calls do not count against my airtime total in my local calling area (GTA) but outside, they would.

I know I'm not the problem -- communicating things that are difficult in simple terms is my day job -- and I think I'm pretty good at it. So that rep was either incompetent or purposely misleading. GAaarrr. R.

Thats why i have unlimited incoming calls option.. no bounce no foul

Maybe you have a plan with unlimited local calling?

You do pay (extra) outside your local calling area.

As simple as a question that it is. it is VERY complicated. since a rogers or fido rep does not want to say yeah your good to go. and then you go and do. and it charges your account.

i have heard from 5 different reps back and forth with my unlimited incoming calls. that i get charged for them when i am outside my local calling area. I am ready to fight ANY charges on my bill which there have been ZERO.

and i have recieved incoming calls when i am not in my local calling area.
