Arrow High-flying iPhone app makes developer a software star

Randall Stross (www.nytimes.com) reports how developer Mitchell Waite’s iBird Explorer, a field guide to birds for iPhone and iPod touch, rose to number 1 “reference” app in the App Store after being featured in an Apple TV spot.
