Question Jailbroken iPhone With no Phone Feature

So as soon as UPS showed up with my phone I activate it and jailbroke it right away. Never even made a call with it. Today I go to use my phone to call someone and the phone app opens up and where the CALL button is supposed to be in the middle it isn't there and the app crashes. I can still receive call but I just can't call or do anything else like look at contacts or anything. Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks!

Well, it means you did it wrong.
If it came with 2.1, you can't do it at all, but either way, user error, read the instructions....

And I don't think you can talk about JB here, not sure, but "read, read, read", the rule of the Internet hasn't changed in 20 years

No I believe I have 2.0. I guess I'll have to do a restore and jailbrake again.

I'm a little confused about your last paragraph??

Due to the fact that JB is illegal, I don't think you can talk about it here.

Also, instructions are all over the web (including the Dev Teams very own site) so you should read carefully before posting... Google even.

What are you on about? Jailbreaking isn't illegal.

2.1 is now jailbroken as well.. I just did it.

I concur with kloan. Jailbreaking, despite the name, isn't illegal. Nor is unlocking (not that you can do that with your 3G iPhone anyway).

Perhaps you should re-read your EUA for your ipod/iphones You can't alter the intellectual property of the firmware.
I'm not gonna rat, I will do mine when one comes out for 2.1, I'm just saying, most boards frown upon talking about it.

I've yet to see one forum that "frowns upon" talking about jailbreaks.

I don't know what it says in the EUA, and I really don't care. It's my phone, I'll do what I want with it. If Apple doesn't like it, they can tell me so.. personally... like, I want someone to knock on my door and say, "please stop hacking our iPhone's software, we don't like it....".

But until then....
