iphone problem??

Someone just told me that an issue with the iphone is that it doesn't tell you if you have a message unless you unlock the phone. So you have to constantly check the phone to see if someone text or emails you.

(by unlock i mean, slide the unlock slider... not activation on rogers/fido network)

Can anyone confirm this?

Text messages, Calls, Voicemails and Emails all make a sound to tell you they're there. All of them will also show up on the screen before you unlock it EXCEPT EMAIL, which really annoys me. I wish email showed up just like text messages do!

slice, no doubt if you post around someone will make a program to fix this. not to mention apple will likely include a fix sometime soon if it bothers enough ppl.

Actually I was wondering if he meant LED or LCD. I mean LED, what are we, hardware geeks here?

I meant LED. Those little lights usually red, green, or blue. flash all the time on bb's. Wasn't sure what else to call them, only known them as LED's.

She can see the LED from a distance.. Just has to look down to her belt, or look at it on her desk table at work. Kind of useful but really nothing special for those who have regular phones that don't have this to begin with.
