Has anyone with a first gen iPhone gone 2.0 yet?

I'm wondering if I upgrade my firmware if the phone will still need to be "unlocked" so I can use it on Rogers?

Um, yeah. So don't upgrade. Unless you like the whole unbricking your phone process with DFU mode and ZiPhone.

Yep, Totally Bricked.

Hey, exactly how did you un-brick your phone! I used my Motorola KRZR for 10 minutes and I was dying to get my iPhone back..

If you have a jailbroken/SIM unlocked phone, unlikely.

Best to wait a day or two for the dev team to release their magic. Rumour has it they're already a step ahead of this update.

I have always wondered who the people are who are part of the iphone dev team. Are they highshool hacker type kids? University or College guys... I just can't get my pin-head around the creativity it takes to unlock an iPhone.

Yea just wait for the Pwnage version 1.2 to come out. It will do the magic jailbreak and unlock for the 2.0 software.
