Hi Everyone, I just got my new Iphone today! I just set up an account and got a sim from Rogers today and so far it works great except for text messaging. Is there something I need to set up to get text messaging to work?

If I go to rogers.com/sms, I can send a text message to my phone easily but when my friend tries to text me or I try to text out, it fails.

oh ya, I did pay for the text messaging feature too.

Nope, you shouldn't have to. My text messaging on my iPhone works perfectly and unlocked with iPlus 2.0b. Originally I had unlocked with ZiPhone, but I found a glitch and restored to 1.1.4 and re-unlocked with iPlus 2.0b. I didn't set anything up and I am on Rogers pay as you go with the 10 dollar; 2500 text messaging pack.

Maybe some other folks on here will have some suggestions for you.

I figured it out! For those of you who have just set up a new rogers account with a new sim, you need to define the sms server. To do that you go to make a call and enter:

*5005*7672*+17057969300#

then press the call button.
