A year ago I got an 80gb video iPod. Today, I noticed that sound was only coming from one ear bud, so I tried switching to a different set and it was no different. From the few times when I could manage to get some stereo sound I have deduced that it was to do with the output sensitivity, but I can't figure out how or why it happened? And what I should do about it?

Any ideas?

Dirty contacts? Put some electronic contact cleaner solution on the plug and work it in and out of the jack a few times.

This happened to my mini couple years ago...i was going to fix it but then the buttons **** themselves. so i just junked it.

Thats what I'm afraid im going to have to do, adrian, but with the money that was spent on it I'm really hoping to rectify it.
