help with iphone voice mail

i have just unlocked my iphone using hyper sim, yay!
now my problem is, everytime i turn on my iphone it makes those noise to alert me that i have new voice mail. i find that the red dot on the phone icon bugs me(hope you know what i'm talking about, the red dot that indicates you have somthing new). i don't even have voice mail. i never use my voice mail so i asked rogers to disabled it a long time ago. now there's a red dot above the voice mail button and when i click on the voice mail button nothing happens. it doesn't bring me to any pages or anything like that so there's no way that i can delete any voice mail, that's if i have any. how do i make the red dot go away? thanks guys for helping me out.

You could try subscribing to voicemail, leave yourself a message, then check your voicemail to see if it goes away. Then cancel your voicemail service. Worth a try.
