Someone on another site said the "accidentally" upgraded.

Voilla: iBrick.

Don't do it. Good info can be found at HowardForums: Your Mobile Phone Community & Resource in the apple section. Do some thorough research before you mess with the upgrade.

I have an iphone and I updated to the new iTunes. No problems. My phone is set not to auto update. oh, and ah, I also have a US iTunes account. I haven't rented anything yet though but there seems to be a pretty wide selection for 3.99 & 2.99. Much cheaper than Rogers Video or Blockbuster.

I updated iTunes without a problem, but have not installed the new firmware update. My 1.1.2 unlocked iPhone syncs fine with iTunes 7.6.

Awww Nooooooo!!!!!!

I just realized one of the effects of having updated to the new itunes. My iphone no longer has custom ringtones i put on using my free trial of iToner. Hot damn that sucks. No more CTU ringtone for me. I'm super disappointed.
