iPhone Canada Leak!
My friend just posted this on his blog:
Gadgetorama - News item: Apple iPhone in Canada by early 2008?
In brief: a contest run by Molson's in Quebec is offering an iPhone as a prize. The contest details include this info:
"Further digging into the terms and conditions shows that the iPhone will be only available starting from January 2008 on the "Rogers" network. The total value of the prize is listed as CAD$800."
Is this for real? I hope the $800 includes the service package...
Cheers,
Aaron.

During the business report on CBC radio tonight they mentioned the iPhone and Molson as well. Only this time it was a Molson Dry contest, with no mention it was a Quebec only contest. They however did say the Roger's refuses to confirm that it indeed will be here in January '08.

The apparent mix-up came after Molson's ad agency, which was putting together the contest in Quebec, called Rogers to inquire about the iPhone's availability, according to Marie-Hélène Lagacé, a Molson spokesperson. She said Molson added itself to an iPhone waiting list along with thousands of other Canadians, but was told by a Rogers representative not to promise anything before the end of the year. |
