Hi All. I was just wondering what are the average shipping times with free shipping from Apple Online. I ordered the 15 gig iPod the day after they were announced and was surprised to find that it had shipped the same day.

Since I took the free shipping, they have decided to use 'same day right away' and the tracking code doesn't correspond work at sameday.ca yet. I read that the shipping code doesn't work until the package has passed customs and is in canada so I guess it still hasn't cleared customs. Does anyone know where it ships from? When I ordered my iBook it came from Taiwan but I would have though that items that arn't BTO would have a closer distribution point. Thanks

I gave my brother a 20-gig iPod for Christmas (ooh, it's a total beauty eh?).

I ordered it on November 3rd; within 1 hour I received an e-mail confirmation that the order was being processed. Less than 12 hours later it was waiting to be shipped from Shanghai. Then came the hard part, checking & rechecking for shipment updates on the FedEx website.

It was delivered to my house on November 7th. Impressive.

Why not just stumble over to a reseller and pick one up?

I've been impressedon every occasion I bought from Apple.ca.. they are super fast to ship products if they are in stock.
