Must Have Accessories for IPOD

Hey Guys...this is my first post here..

What I really wanted to know was...I'm a new mac and ipod user, and I'm trying to figure out which accessories would I need to efficiently use my Ipod and powerbook.

Sooo....I'm going to ask you....What do you think are the MOST IMPORTANT Ipod Accessories and Powerbook Accessories that are needed.

If your curious....I have a 60 Gig 5G Ipod and a 15inch Powerbook...I love them both!

Get a sleeve/case/skin for your devices. Handle them with care until you do. If you don't, your iPod is going to be scratched up even if you think you just kept it in that soft pocket and it was safe, and your Powerbook is going to be dented the first time you take it anywhere. Some people don't care at all about scratches and dents, others are the opposite.

Oh, and welcome!

I just got an Incase nylon sleeve for my powerbook and love it. It has an outside pocket just big enough for a power adaptor and offers good protection without being bulky. I think it was around $60 at Carbon Computing.

My two iPod accessories include one of those stretchy rubbery covers that offers really good basic protection and bumps and scratches and a Griffin iTrip auto FM transmitter.

The case I got off of ebay for 0.50 and shipping was a buck from Hong Kong... sweet deal. The iTrip is the only FM transmitter that I have found that offers semi-decent sound. I got it half price at the York Dale Apple store because it was "refreshed".

I agree.. your most major needs are a case for both the iPod and the Powerbook, if you care about the look of them at all.

Besides that, it just depends on your usage needs. Will you be using the iPod in the car? (FM transmitter/tape adaptor) Will you be using the Powerbook for long periods of time? (Extra battery/extra power adaptor) Do you want better sound on your iPod or your Powerbook? (Better headphones/external speakers)

Figure out what you need before buying accessories that are cool looking but not especially useful.

An extra Powerbook battery would be sweet. No more worries about power, especially for school use.

I use some Sony in ear headphones that sound awesome and were only $40 bucks off the web.

Get some decent headphones; sony for full size, shure e series for portable ones.

Decent bag is a must, and a case for iPod. FM transmitter for the iPod too!

I've got a roots bag that fits my 14" iBook just fine, the laptop part (padded) comes out and is very very handy. Holds all my school books too!
