iPod VS. PSP

As everybody knows, Christmas is coming up! I am starting to get stressed out already! What to get others, what to ask for, tough decisions ahead! My two main options to recieve are: a 60GB iPod (Black of course) or a Sony PSP. I having such a hard time deciding. One has internet, the other has an internal Hard Drive. What's your opinion, and why?

It all depends on what you want it for. If you want to listen to music, get an iPod, if you want to play games, get a PSP.

I listen to ALOT of music, but, I also want to go onto internet while I am at friend's places too!

I am leaning more to the PSP as I already have an older iPod. Is this an okayt choice?

well you can't surf the internet on an ipod, so the choice is pretty clear cut, isn't it?

If you already have an iPod that works fine and holds enough music to keep you content, go with the PSP. What exactly are your plans for connecting to the internet with the PSP? The screen is small, no mouse, no keyboard, not all websites will show up well etc. (just something to take into consideration).

Ask for an iBook.

I realize it's more expensive than both the PSP and iPod combined, but you'll also be able to surf the internet (properly) and listen to music from iTunes.

Otherwise, I'd go for the PSP, since you already have an iPod...remember, you don't need to keep up with the "Jones" by getting the latest and greatest iPod if it's serving you well.

AD, I think you'd have to go with the iPod. Trose is right: having internet access on the PSP serves no purpose. If you can't get some websites, and the screen is small, it defeats the purpose of even having internet.

Have you considered asking your friend to go on the internet at his/or place?

dude, as someone mentioned, 2 diff beasts.

I do like the recommendation to get an iBook! LOL

But seriously, I would get my hands on the PSP. You can do so much more with it. Have you tried using iPSP?? You can send your files over and use it as you would an iPod Video - sans all the storage. You'll need to get 1/2G MemStick DUO, but it would be so worth it.

My vote is for the PSP.

It seems rediculous to me that you're considering getting a PSP and have not mentioned once anything about gaming! I'm sure you know that's its main function and getting a PSP with no intent to play games seems like a HUGE waste to me. Internet browsing is definately a secondary fuction of the PSP and I've tried surfing the net with it and it's not great. I would say only get the PSP if you really intend to play games on it or want to watch movies at high res, otherwise update your iPod.
