It's a good thing that Apple made such a cool ass box for the iPod, I kept it for display purposes and I left my receipt in it. Woo Hoo, FREE MONEY!!

In my opinion - if youve ordered an ipod from apple directly, they shouldnt be asking for a receipt, they should have all of that information online.
also - if you have registered your product with them, they have your information as well - they should just be able to send you the cheque.
disappointing in my opinion - although if i dont find the receipt, at least the money will be going to a good cause.

I got mine through Futureshop.ca - had the invoice on their site. Ironically enough, I bought mine on January 21 2004 - the last day for the refund
