This is where a google search can help, even using your own question:
https://www.google.ca/search?client=...CaXP8gf0vqPQDA

Then read some of the hits like this:
iPad Pro – Speakers and Performance

A lot will depend on the source as well, just like all sound's sources can't produce 5:1 sound or even proper stereo.

I think they know that, they want to know I believe if one can get true quad sound with the iPad Pro.

From a quick google, it seems yes:

Any new internals?

A few! You'll get quadrophonic sound: four speakers that work together to create stereo sound—three times the volume of the Air 2—and that automatically adjust as you rotate your iPad.

With proper input though eh???

Don't forget that some users who have and hear sound out of four speakers may be happy and falsely think they have actual quadrophonic sound!!!

Just saying…
